Astraweb Review: An Elusive Usenet Provider Based In Singapore

Launched in 1998, Astraweb is a tier 1 Usenet service provider headquartered out of Singapore. Astraweb is known for offering an independent and mostly uncensored Usenet feed.

I tested the Astraweb service for a few months, and I found that their connections are fairly reliable and reasonable fast (I was using their US servers). However, their customer support is non-existent. I’ve never received an email from this company after several several attempts!

Astraweb currently offers a retention of up to 3000+ days for binary and text articles. Astraweb currently has connection points in North America and Europe.
