Kagi Launches FastGPT For Quick AI Responses

FastGPT was launched by Kagi Search today. Kagi says FastGPT is a proof of concept built to answer the question, “What is the fastest possible AI answering engine that runs a full search engine underneath?”. The AI appears to be using Claude by Anthropic.

Typically, FastGPT will start outputting answers in 900ms. FastGPT is best used to retrieve a general topic summary from the web. The processing is optimized for speed, not necessarily the maximum possible accuracy (which would require more processing time).

Kagi offers several of AI tools, including “Quick Answers,” “Summarize Page,” “Ask Questions about Document,” and a Universal Summarizer.
