Bull Bitcoin Launches New Wallet With Lightning & Liquid

Bull Bitcoin has released a new self-custodial wallet that supports Bitcoin, Lightning, and Liquid networks. It offers trustless atomic swaps between them. See the blog announcement here.

The wallet aims to provide advanced features that give users the maximum control, while still being easy to use for beginners.

Bull Bitcoin Wallet is comparable to Aqua Wallet, but with additional privacy features and coin control features. It works with Coldcard hardware wallets for cold storage security.

Lightning Features

Bull Bitcoin routes Lightning payments through the Liquid Network using atomic swaps via Boltz. You get instant, cheap Lightning transactions without ever thinking about channel capacity.

When you receive Lightning payments, they land on Liquid first. The wallet automatically swaps them to on-chain Bitcoin once you hit a threshold (default 0.01 BTC). This prevents you from accumulating dust UTXOs that become expensive to spend when network fees spike.

Privacy Features

Bull Bitcoin supports Payjoin V2 (BIP77), which breaks blockchain analysis by mixing sender and receiver inputs in the same transaction. The amounts visible on-chain don’t match the actual payment amount.

Payjoin V2 works asynchronously, meaning both parties don’t need to be online simultaneously. Your encrypted payment sits in a directory until the recipient’s wallet comes online. This makes it practical for mobile wallets, unlike the original Payjoin protocol.

Features for Power Users

This wallet also has some advanced features like coin control, address labeling, Replace-By-Fee, watch-only wallet import, BIP85 secret derivation and custom node connections.
