The Best Free VPN Trials

I’ve made a list of the best free VPN trial I could find. Note that I’ve only included reliable VPN providers that I recommend.

Apparently, PureVPN and VyprVPN offer free trials, but make it difficult to get your money back, so you may want to avoid those services.

ProtonVPN

The ProtonVPN service is run by the people behind Protonmail. They offer a full free VPN account. However, the speeds of the free accounts are described as “medium”. The free plan is limited to three server locations — United States, Netherlands, and Japan. You get one simultaneous connection on the tree plan.

ExpressVPN

ExpressVPN ExpressVPN has a 30-day “no quibble” money-back offer. They provide many good client apps and good customer support. They are one of my recommended providers. Servers in 78 countries.

  1. Just curious why you don’t recommend PIA for vpn? Mine is about to expire and I’m wondering if I need to jump ship to one of your newer recommendations? Thanks love the site!!!

    1. I still recommend Private Internet Access (PIA). It is a reliable and inexpensive provider. However, ExpressVPN and IPVanish offer a bit more of a seamless experience, in terms of support, apps and documentation.
